ER3 1 6LSi also contains molybdenum (Mo), which enhances its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, making it suitable for use in chloride-rich environments, such as marine or coastal applications.
It offers good high-temperature strength, making it suitable for applications involving elevated temperatures and thermal cycling.
It is versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications that involve welding austenitic stainless steels. The improved wetting of ER3 1 6LSi makes it suitable for high speed welding.
